The scenes of the film are made after The Fate of the Furious (2017) where Dominic Toretto faces his own brother Jakob along with his family members. Jakob is the younger sibling of Dominic who works for their old enemy Cipher. He did not have good personal relations with Dominic. As he was thrown out from the family by Dom when Dom gets to the fact that Jakob has planned the oil fix on the course. Due to which their father met death in an accident.
