Mickey 17 takes place several generations after the storyline of Edward Ashton’s novel Mickey7. While technological advancements have been made, the political landscape and the shortcomings of the younger generation remain unchanged. In this narrative, Moe Howard’s distinctive hairstyle and nasal tone are supplanted by Robert Pattinson’s renowned cheekbones and sculpted physique. He, along with his rebellious companion Timo, enlists for a deep space colonization mission to the frigid planet Niflheim. Pattinson’s character, Mickey Barnes, inadvertently becomes classified as “expendable” due to the urgent need to evacuate Earth. Consequently, Mickey is relegated to the role of a glorified test subject, subjected to experiments, killed, and subsequently cloned, rather than enjoying leisure time with Stallone and Statham.
